Oxfordshire at its best

Broomhill was built in 1923 for a university
professor. It featured in Home and Gardens the following year. It has the benefit of some well proportioned large rooms that provide the basis for its present use. Richard and Sara
Alden have lived here since 1982 and during that time have gradually extended and
improved its amenities to now provide a number of very comfortable single and double rooms.

There is also an open plan studio flat which can comfortably sleep 2, or a family of 4.  The flat is an ideal base for touring the area or indeed for the professional who wants a tranquil setting after a hard day at the office.

Richard and Sara have been welcoming guests for over 25 years and now have many friends throughout England and indeed all around the world!    Richard is a butcher and fishmonger, so home-made sausages are definately on the menu at breakfast!

At the end of a lovely sight-seeing day or a hard days work - just visit The Fox Pub right at the end of the lane for superb all day food. 10 minutes walk or 2 minutes drive.

CLOSE TO STRATFORD & COTSWOLDS NEAR THE BERKSHIRE DOWNS OR GO FOR A RAMBLE ON THE RIDGEWAY.

With its location so close to Oxford and the facilities within the university, there is not a sport or activity, social or cultural, that cannot be organised. Every week a number of concerts are held in Oxford which also has two theatres and a number of cinemas and clubs. With its cosmopolitan background, it has a huge number of restaurants, cafes and bars some of international repute. The River Thames provides its own pastimes, and there a number of inland lakes providing sailing, boating and skiing activities. Further afield the beautiful Cotswolds are no more than 30 minutes drive. This is an area of outstanding natural beauty with its rolling countryside and delightful warm stone villages and pubs. Country houses such as Blenheim Palace, together with many National Trust properties are within easy reach.

Warwick Castle is only 40 minutes drive north and Windsor Castle is a similar distance away. There is a direct bus into London every 10 minutes from Oxford Centre - thus enabling you to incorporate a days sight-seeing in London.
